Kundalini Meditation & Kirtan |
Special Events:
Kundalini Meditation is a huge part of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. These meditations are practiced as “kriyas”, combining several elements of focus at once: posture, gaze, breath, mantra, and mudra (hand positions). Most are Naad practices, utilizing sacred prayers and hymns as mantras, and having a particular effect on the chakra system and personality. Kirtan is a form of Naad Yoga too, in growing demand worldwide because of its ability to uplift and heal. Most kirtan popular today is in Sanskrit, from the Hindu yogic tradition. Yolanda studies Gurbani Kirtan in the Sikh tradition, and Gurmukhi, the prayerful form of Punjabi. Her spiritual name is Pritam Hari Kaur. Yolanda has been teaching these meditations and sponsoring live music kirtans as special Yoga for a Cause classes and events for 5 years now. The music is absolutely heavenly, the effect immediate. Please email to join the events list. |
